Neurodiversity refers to diversity in the human brain and cognition, for instance in sociability, learning, attention, mood, and other mental functions.
Examples: autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, etc.

Music therapy can help address issues with sensory processing or integration
Music therapy promotes communication and expression without the need for words
Music therapy can address social skills and help foster meaningful relationships
What it may look like:
Dimmed lights to decrease sensory overload
Vocal improvisations on neutral syllables
Drumming to promote bilateral use across midline
Strumming guitar to promote hand-eye coordination and hand strength
Music is the only thing we can engage with that activates every part of our brain
